GVI and ACJ Primary Vs the South African Police Force!
This week in Nomzamo Township GVI volunteers at ACJ Primary were invited to join the teachers in the annual sports day organised by the local police force to enhance community relations. The event saw a team of Police officers take on teams of teachers, taxi drivers and local business people at men’s soccer and women’s netball. After a short training session at break time at school we headed over to the local High School with the teachers and lots of cheering children where we were slightly surprised to find hundreds of people from the community turning out to watch. Luckily as most of the kids from the high school went to ACJ primary we were definitely fan favourites.
