New Year brings new opportunities at ACJ

We have come to the end of the school term here at ACJ Pakade Primary School, in Nomzamo Location. The kids and staff are all excited for the Christmas holidays, most of whom will use this time to visit family in the Eastern Cape and have a traditional rural Christmas celebration.

The New Year is all set to bring some exciting new changes within the schools general organisation structure and also for the GVI teaching programme. The changes to our programme will enable us to work with many more children on a weekly basis therefore having a greater impact on the schools numeracy and literacy results at large.

Alongside the changes to the teaching programme we will also be developing the quality and standard of the facilities for the sports teaching programme.  We plan to use some of our fundraising money from the Charity Challenge and Let’s Be Active day to purchase sporting equipment for the students, including athletics equipment.  Athletics is something held in great regard within the local communities and having suitable equipment will not only improve the results of ACJ’s talented athletes but also create some real excitement and motivation prior to the competition season.

School will re-open on the 14th January 2013 and things are looking positive for the future of the primary school and the working partnership with GVI.
