What a week!!!

We have just finished our first week here at AJC School... it has been wonderful!!! After a day of training we headed into the school to meet our students.

I am teaching grade six literacy and have a mixture of individual lessons and group workshops. The children at the school are amazing! They have such big personalities and are so eager to learn. Even after just one week, we are all starting to see improvements in their school work which is incredibly satisfying. The staff on the program have been incredibly helpful and all the volunteers have proved great company.

This afternoon a group of us are heading into Cape Town for a night out in Mama Africa’s . What a great end to what has been a great first week here in South Africa!
