Getting Ready for our first volunteers

Children at Ikhayalethemba orphange

The anticipation is mounting at ACJ Primary School and Ikhayalethemba orphange as we prepare for our first volunteers who are arriving on the 2nd of August! In preparation we had James Whiteley out from our Australian office to sample some of the side trips and visit the programs and accommodation so that he can answer any questions and tell volunteers about our programs!

A day out wine tasting and visiting the Penguin colony and Cape Point

He spent a beautiful day out in the winelands visiting all the farms and sampling our local wines. He then headed off to visit the Penguin colony and Cape Point while taking in the natural surroundings on mountain bike.

Just before leaving he took a trip up Table Mountain to check out the city from the mountain top. We were sad to say goodbye but feel confident he has a great idea of what volunteers will get up to while visiting us here in Cape Town.
