Time to have some fun!
I am sitting here yawning from having one of the most fantastic weekends since being in South Africa. The staff from GVI Cape Town took a team building trip to Simon’s town and kayaked from the harbour round to boulders beach. Will and Catalina got off to a bit of a hairy start but they soon found their rhythm and we were on our way. We were lucky enough to see two whales on our travels and visit the penguins. It was a truly magical site knowing that we were in the same waters as some of the biggest mammals on this planet, if a little scary. Certainly an experience we will never forget.
We also had a celebration over the weekend, despite it being 3weeks late we went to Mzoli’s bar in gugeletu to celebrate Bongi and Boniswa birthday. It is a popular place and lucky we arrived when we did, the place is famous for its braai meat and sauce and it certainly didn’t disappoint! It was a feast with a variety of pork, chicken, lamb and sausage I would definitely say it is some of the best meat I have ever tasted. The place was packed by the time we left with the queue over an hour long, the music was pumping and everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. My ears are still slightly ringing and I’m a little hard of hearing today but it was all worth it and I hope I get the opportunity to go again for a bit more partying South African style!
