The Naughty Corner

As you would imagine being thrown in with a bunch of eager young children, ones that are ready to learn but much more eager to use you as a human jungle gym, it is not an easy task. That is why after only four weeks of GVI’s presence, the introduction of the ‘Naughty Corner’ at The Rainbow Centre has been a massive achievement.

A trip to the naughty corner usually brings with it a few kicks and tears, but the genuine apologies is definitely worth the tussles as they are able to understand that their behaviour was unacceptable. Thus joining the group with a more friendly, and attentive attitude, dreading another visit to the daunting ‘Naughty Corner.’ Although in the two weeks we have only had to use it on one occasion with three mischievous children. After seeing this, others listened obediently, making our activities all the more productive and fun for everyone. We hope not to use it too much in the future, because we always prefer to see the smiles on their faces as they climb up onto our head... shoulders, knees and toes...
