No week like any other!

Everybody now 'Yanga inkosi....'
If there’s ever a job where no week is the same as the other, this is it.  Week to week the routine is much the same, but the actual experiences vary so greatly there can be no comparison.
This week, due to the heat the swimming pool and buckets were bought out and war was temporarily declared at Ikhayalethemba Village! Few things could compare the (somewhat manic) joy the children found in drenching their teachers with bucket after bucket of water.
On Friday, thanks to a generous donation from volunteers Shillan and Silva and their families we had a picnic lunch, complete with party hats, party bags.  In their classes, the children spent time preparing a lunch of personally designed pizzas and fancy fruit kebabs.
Preparation complete, everyone headed outside for party games before settling down for the much anticipated pizza.
After lunch the children went “fishing” for their party bags, noise makers and lollipops were enjoyed by the children. Friday was a special treat which was enjoyed by everyone.
